| Wind Sheltered From: | Not much protection but some shelter from westerly direction winds. A strong north easterly in winter is not pleasant! |
| How to Get There: | Easy to get to but a bit of a walk to the end for the less able angler. Park in one of the spaces near the start of the breakwater for a 3 hour park , 10 hour parking is available back on the approach road and to the side of Havelet wall, this can be very busy during working hours with commuters. |

| Species Available: | Pretty much anything can turn up here but notable presence from Black bream, Red Mullet, Mackerel and Garfish. |
| How to Fish: | This mark requires a bit of experimenting to find how it will fish best. Black Bream can be caught in numbers though they are normally of an average size simply by casting out with a worm or scallop frilll bait in the general direction of the Brehon tower.
Red Mullet can be found with a very short cast from the square castign towards the White Rock with a big worm bait.
Garfish can be found all around the end of the structure to shallow float-fished sandeel |
| Mark information: | There is a lot to say about this mark. You either love it or hate it.
There are a vast range of species to be caught and it is rare that you will blank unless you are fishing very specifically for one species.
I like to fish this mark when I want to catch something that I might be able to eat but there is also the chance of a larger specimen or something a bit different.
The bottom here is varied depending on where you cast. Generally speaking, Casting towards the harbour gives sand and anywhere from in line with Brehon Tower to castle cornet direction is heavier rough ground and some very snaggy areas. |
| Best Tide: | High and Low water depending on the species. Rising tide often good. |
