Lots of marks rolled into one but nearly all having massive amounts of tide. | Type of Mark: | Rock | | Perry's Guide: | Page 11 H1 | | Which Guide Map: | North | | Bottom Type: | Mixed Ground | | Wind Sheltered From: | Not much when you are on the rocks but to have the wind behind you it needs to be in the Westerly directions. | | How to Get There: | The main mark is to the North of Bordeaux down the small lane on the map as Les Petils. Fishing from the rocks in front of the carpark or from the grassy walkway.
Fishing is also from the rocks which get cut off on high water though they are safe to stay on, taking the weather and tide into consideration!! | | Access: | click for detailed description
| | Species Available: | Plaice, Sole, Bass, Bullhuss, bream, Wrasse. | | How to Fish: | Fishing can be tricky when the tide is running but this lends to freelining a live sandeel in the tide, letting it drift round.
Trotting a float for mullet can be effective from the half tide island using shirvy over the low water.
Fishing can be done from half tide down in most areas and over low water, the large grassy topped island being a good place to try down the North side as the tide drops for bass. | | Mark information: | Most of the fishing is done from a group of rocks which becomes an island at high water. It is safe to stay on the big island getting cut off. Plenty of parking in the gravel carpark nearby.
There are a lot of boats moored in the area protected by the island so beware of boat traffic. The tide also runs pretty fast here so a heavier lead may be required at times if trying to bottom fish. | | Best Tide: | High Water or Low Water, also a falling tide. |
