Type of fishing: Light tackle rock fishing has to be my favourite type of fishing along with bass fishing which seems to become an obsession at certain times of year fishing in all weathers. I find light tackle fishing very enjoyable and it provides sport from fish which some wouldn’t consider worthy. Even the humble garfish and Mackerel are a joy to catch on a 1lb Avon rod and will give you a fight to remember but Bream and Mullet are the real targets. Some people, my wife included, seem to think I am obsessed with fishing, and maybe they are right!!
Fishing is more than just a hobby, it seem to possess nearly every waking moment of my day, either fishing, sorting out tackle or bait, collecting bait or just thinking about what I want to be doing next. And all that in-between running and keeping this website and it’s forums up to date and under control. It is something that I do not only to relax, but also to feed myself and my family. I am not a competitive fisherman, from a competitive viewpoint, I am more interested in meeting personal challenges, such as bettering a personal best or catching a new species. I also find it very rewarding to help others to meet their goals and catch new fish or personal best fish. |
